ADTS (Alcohol & Drug Treatment Specialist)
Location: Ventura, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Dress Code: Business Casual
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Alcohol & Drug Treatment Specialist (ADTS) to provide temporary coverage for a leave of absence. This role supports adult clients (18+) across two programs, including a field-based Full Service Partnership (FSP) and a forensic/jail-based program . The ideal candidate is comfortable working with justice-involved populations and providing services both in the community and within a structured correctional setting.
Supervision is provided, and the ADTS will always work as part of a team—never independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in mandatory daily treatment team meetings at 8:30 AM
- Facilitate and run one Substance Use Services (SUS) group per week
- Lead a weekly Thursday group
- Provide services across two programs:
- Field-Based Program (Approx. 60%)
- Community-based client meetings (homes, clinic, parks, etc.)
- Services delivered as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Forensic/Jail-Based Program (Approx. 40%)
- Conduct ASAM-based services within a jail setting
- Client contact frequency varies (2–4 times per week depending on jail operations)
- Sessions conducted in secure settings with deputy presence at all times
- Maintain a mixed caseload of up to 10 adult clients
- Complete required documentation and assessments in compliance with program standards
Requirements
- Certified or Registered ADTS required
- Experience or strong comfort working with justice-involved populations
- Experience with field-based/community programs strongly preferred
- Ability to pass Live Scan and obtain required jail clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish bilingual preferred
- Prior experience facilitating groups
- Familiarity with ASAM assessment tools and documentation
