Analyst - Regulatory Research & Analysis (Financial Services)

The Role:

We’re seeking an Analyst, Regulatory Research & Analysis ( Financial Services) to deliver timely, high quality regulatory insights and content across the Americas (United States, Latin America, and Canada). You will monitor and analyze regulatory changes, produce thought leadership and market entry reports, and collaborate with colleagues in the US and UK to keep clients ahead of the curve on relevant regulatory developments.

This role is ideal for a detail-driven researcher eager to deepen expertise in financial services laws and regulations, particularly in retail banking, lending, payments, and investment banking. You will engage directly with industry stakeholders, assess market shifts, and translate complex developments into actionable insights. Success in this position means becoming a trusted resource whose analysis shapes client strategy, compliance, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess regulatory change in assigned jurisdictions, producing timely, accurate regulatory updates.
  • Create market entry and regulatory landscape reports evaluating compliance requirements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct trend analysis to identify patterns, emerging risks, and strategic implications.
  • Produce thought leadership content offering clear compliance, operational, and risk mitigation guidance.
  • Engage with regulators, industry bodies, and market stakeholders to validate and enhance research.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client inquiries, clarify regulatory changes, and inform content strategy.
  • Represent the company at conferences and industry events to strengthen brand authority.
  • Maintain high editorial standards to ensure outputs are accurate, clear, and actionable.
  • Support cross jurisdiction coverage during high demand periods or multi-market projects.

Skills & Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, History, Pre-Law, Business, Economics, International Relations, or equivalent work experience in financial services.
  • Foundational knowledge of financial services, with exposure to at least one area: retail banking, lending, payments, or investment banking.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulatory documents and distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to engage with customers to present findings, share regulatory perspectives, and address questions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear, concise, and accurate professional content.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and online research tools/databases.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across teams and jurisdictions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Law degree or advanced degree in financial services, law, or public policy.
  • Spanish or Portuguese proficiency, or ability to use translation tools effectively to engage LATAM markets.
  • Experience with a regulator, financial institution, consulting firm, or law firm specializing in financial service and/or consumer compliance.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new regulatory frameworks, industry trends, and jurisdictional differences.
