Job Description

Company Description

At Plumis, we’ve pioneered Automist—a revolutionary watermist fire suppression system that’s sleek, sustainable, and design-friendly. Trusted in thousands of homes and award-winning properties across the UK and now expanding in the US, Automist delivers life-saving fire protection without the trade-offs of traditional sprinklers.

As we scale up our presence in North America, we’re seeking an ambitious and connected Architectural Sales Representative to engage leading California architects and design professionals—bringing Automist to the forefront of high-spec custom single family homes and ADU projects.

Role Description

You’ll lead sales outreach and relationship-building efforts with California’s most influential architecture and design firms. Your focus will be on building demand, and guiding projects from concept to specification.

Your key responsibilities:

Drive awareness and adoption of Automist across the architecture, interior design, and home building consultancy sectors

Develop strong relationships with principals, specifiers, and designers at high-end and progressive firms

Deliver compelling presentations, CPDs, and one-on-one consultations

Work closely with the technical team to support code compliance and integration into project designs

Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry panels to raise Automist’s profile

Contribute insight to inform product strategy and US market positioning

Qualifications and Experience

You’re an outgoing, driven sales professional who understands how to speak the language of architects and designers.

Required:

3+ years’ sales experience in architectural products, building systems, or specification-led sales
Proven success working with high-end or design-led practices in California

Strong understanding of the architecture and construction sales cycle—from design development to install

Confidence presenting to small and large groups, both virtually and in person

Familiarity with California Building and Fire Codes and navigating AHJ conversations

Self-starter attitude with excellent organisational and CRM habits

Ideally based in California and willing to travel regionally
