Job Overview:

Small firm vibe with big firm reputation! Welcoming, technologically advanced civil litigation firm with excellent trial and motion results seeks eager Associate Attorney(s) with 0 to 7 + years of experience and also has position(s) for experienced trial lawyer(s) to join our civil litigation and coverage teams. The firm also has a position for law and motion attorney. Experience in property coverage, BI and bad faith defense is ideal, but not required. Remote, hybrid, contract and “of counsel” arrangements available.

The firm is based in San Diego but practices and represents clients throughout California. The ideal candidate(s) are persons who excel in an intellectually challenging environment, are self-motived, possess the ability to effectively execute on projects, have excellent writing and analytical skills and who care about delivering quality work product. The right candidate(s) possess excellent communication skills, a personable can do attitude, curiosity and genuine enthusiasm to grow into an excellent lawyer and contribute to the overall success of the firm. Our trial and motion results have a big firm reputation. We have successfully tried cases throughout California and offer opportunities to gain early trial experience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage your own caseload under the supervision of either a senior attorney or partner
• Research and draft legal briefs, discovery and coverage opinions
• Attend court hearings, argue motions, take and defend depositions, trial preparation and second chair or conduct trials depending on experience.
• Client interaction and development opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements:

• J.D. from an ABA accredited Law School
• Active CA Bar License in Good Standing
• Valid Driver’s license
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint
• Good attitude with professional appearance and demeanor

• Pay: starting salary is competitive and depends on experience and ranges from $100,000-$160,000 per year.
