Job Description
A public research university and client of Insight Global is seeking an Associate Director of Research Development to join their team to work within the initial stages of proposal development, collaborate with members of the academic community, and encourage eligible people/groups to apply for research funding. Additional responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with other faculty and departments and educating them on various available grants.
- Leading programming, training, and mini-courses on grant writing and working with agencies.
- Creating and delivering presentations to PIs and other faculty members on campus.
- Writing and editing proposals to ensure they are accurate.
- Partnering with external agencies responsible for crafting proposals.
- Handing over proposals for submission.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD with demonstrated research experience
- 3-5 years of experience working within research development in higher education, federal gov, state gov, or a non-profit
- Experience with proposal development, pre-award grants processes, and grants administration
