HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Camera Perception Engineer to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Focus more on designing and running camera perception related experiments

Responsibilities :

• Design, prepare and conduct perceptual/subjective IQ studies to assist camera image quality tuning and development
• Evaluate the IQ impact of new camera features through perceptual studies
• Review camera output and analyze experimental results, extract experiment insight and provide analysis to cross functional partners
• Design and develop tools, metrics and workflows to improve perceptual evaluation process

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in vision science, perception science, behavioral science, color science or related field
• Experience designing and conducting perceptual/psychophysical studies and extracting data to answer complex questions
• Knowledge of human perception and statistical analysis
• Strong interests in photography and understand what constitute as good camera from user perspective
• Understanding how camera works and how to evaluate camera image quality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Strong track record in researching in human visual perception
• Knowledge of main camera components, including sensor, camera module and optics
• Knowledge of camera image processing pipelines, including ISP, 3A and mainstream image processing algorithms for mobile camera products
• Ability to perform coding and automation tasks

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Range Minimum: $ 123000/annum
• Pay Range Maximum : $187000/annum

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
