Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Content Marketing Specialist has growing independent responsibility for developing engaging audio, visual and written content for use both online and offline in a team setting, in accordance with Stater Bros. Markets brand guidelines and overall content strategy plans.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Writing for website copy, Weekly Ad copy, social media posts, audio/video scripts, blog posts, articles, product descriptions, case studies, white papers, emails, newsletters, e-books, pages, and company bios
  • Research/organize facts related to the assigned topic and content type both online/offline to compile and organize writing ideas
  • In team setting, compose and/or partner to create new and relevant written, visual and audio content based on research and develop engaging content to entice the target audience across specified channels
  • Rewrite / refine content depending on assignment requirements
  • Proofread and edit content for mistakes or additional ideas and guarantee that it is composed per directions including from other content creators, providing feedback when necessary
  • Understand how to ensure all content is optimized for search engine optimization (SEO) and contains sufficient keyword placement
  • Support Social Media channel strategies and tactics as directed
  • Participate in ideation of marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Collaborate cross functionally with internal and external partners on ideas and strategies
  • All other tasks as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to learn how to effectively write for SEO, understanding the technologies that drive and support SEO
  • Ability to write, proof, and edit copy across multiple channels, including social, blog, web, audio, etc.
  • Understanding of customers and what motivates them at each stage in a Customer Journey
  • Basic understanding of marketing foundations and effective marketing use of social media and digital marketing channels
  • Effective social and online research skills
  • Excellent English skills and writing abilities in various diverse styles/tones with accurate spelling and grammar (samples are appreciated)
  • Effective communication and collaboration within a team setting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and organized individual with a positive attitude
  • Ability to operate independently and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work some weekends and extended hours during peak production cycles
