Job Description

POSITION AND SCOPE

We’re looking for a Corporate Development Analyst to support Tide Rock in its sourcing, evaluation, and execution of new investments. The candidate will directly support Tide Rock’s Corporate Development team and be exposed to deal opportunities nationwide across multiple industries.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deal Qualification: Qualify new inbound deal opportunities for fit with Tide Rock.
  • Deal Management: Support the transfer of critical information into Tide Rock’s CRM and creation and completion of Investment Committee Memos for qualified deals.
  • Due Diligence: Facilitate the creation and management of data rooms and internal communication channels pertaining to active deals under LOI.
  • Deal Execution: Provide support to Tide Rock’s Directors of Corporate Development on all aspects of transaction execution.
  • Research: Support various industry and deal-specific research projects through calls with executives, advisors, and investment bankers, and through utilization of Tide Rock’s data platforms, including Pitchbook, ZoomInfo, ChatGPT, and others.
  • Data Quality Management: Operate as point-person for CRM management, including data quality control and internal reporting metrics to track efficiency across the Corporate Development team.

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Must be a self-starter and able to multi-task, while consistently delivering accurate and timely work products.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in M&A advisory (sell-side or buy-side), private equity or business development is preferred.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of financial statements and what they say about business performance.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or other CRMs or deal management platforms.
  • Experience engaging with brokers, bankers, other deal intermediaries, and business owners/executives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid, and entrepreneurial environment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marketing, or a related field
