Job Description

Our client, a Japanese Freight Forwarding company is looking for a Customs Brokerage Agent to join their team

Title: Customs Brokerage Agent

Industry: Logistics

Type: Full Time Direct Hire

Location: Dallas TX

Salary: 52-65K

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1-2 years US customs brokage or Entry writer experiences
  • Knowledgeable in US Customs Tariff, Fish & Wildlife Service, FDA and USDA filing requirements
  • Experiences with air/ocean import freight release
  • Basic computer skills
  • Bilingual language ability in Japanese is big plus

JOB DUTIES:

  • Preparing and submitting necessary documentation for customs clearance, including import/export declarations, invoices, and other required forms
  • Calculating and ensuring the proper payment of customs duties, taxes, and fees on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate with carriers and customers via telephone and email
  • File documents in a timely matter
  • Track shipments and provide updates for customers
  • Coordinate delivery scheduling and ensure carrier compliance
