Why this job – DISTRICT MANAGER:
Montana-based food service company is seeking a District Manager to lead operations, drive growth, and strengthen community engagement. In this role, you'll be managing the top-performing district in the company, reporting directly to the Regional Manager and CEO, overseeing 8 different locations.
Beyond day-to-day oversight, you'll also have the opportunity to develop strategic initiatives and implement operational improvements based on your recommendations. Unlike large corporate franchises bogged down by red tape, this locally owned company values employee input and acts on it quickly.
Each week, you'll be visiting all the locations you manage. Hours and schedule will depend on the needs of each store, but the company as a whole strives to ensure a good work-life balance. A company vehicle can be provided for visiting the locations as well.
What You'll Actually Do:
- Lead and support store managers to help them meet sales and store goals
- Make sure all eight stores in the district follow company rules and run smoothly
- Visit each store every week to help the team, answer questions, and give feedback
- Find and train store managers who show strong leadership skills
- Look at sales, labor, and other store numbers to find ways to improve
- Help hire and train new managers to build a strong team
- Create a positive work environment by encouraging responsibility and clear communication
- Work with the regional manager and company leaders to keep goals on track
- Be available to help store managers during weekends or busy times if needed
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- Has 2-5 years of experience leading a team
- Driven to hit sales goals and growing the business
- Experience working in multiple stores or locations (ideally in quick service restaurants and/or retail)
- Communicate clearly and works well with others
- Ability to identify and develop future leaders for the company
- Leads with kindness and puts people first
- Enjoys mentoring and helping teams do their best
Where and How Much:
- Target Compensation $65K - $75K + up to $25K annual bonus (paid quarterly)
- Billings, MT (Most locations are in Billings others are within a 2-hour radius)
