Job Description

As the Analyst, Restaurant Training, you are a junior Instructional Designer, responsible for supporting the development of client's operational training materials used every day by 130,000+ team members in 3,800+ restaurants located across the United States and Canada.

This role is responsible for assisting in the entire lifecycle of training, including analyzing, planning, writing, editing, developing and distributing. They help with the training for a variety of new initiatives and rollouts, including new menu items, new equipment, technology rollouts and more. They also help with the training updates for evergreen training materials used to ensure successful training and day-to-day operations, including training plans, checklists, courses, videos, job aids, recipe cards, and more.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist in the collaboration with subject matter experts on various internal teams to understand training needs and scope of project in order to build a training strategy to present to Restaurant Training leadership
  • Assist in the hand-off and review of standard operating procedures with subject matter experts, in order to ensure consistency and one best way across all restaurants
  • Assist in using finalized standard operating procedures to develop training content, including recipes and procedures, that adheres to client's written style guide with a conversational yet professional tone
  • Assist in the development of new and engaging training materials as defined in project training strategy, ranging from eLearning, video, print and digital, to appeal to a broad spectrum of adult learners
  • As needed, update existing training materials based on company changes to keep training system up-to-date
  • Assist in the preparation of files for final delivery through the learning management system, intranet or print, with any additional languages or localization required
  • Assist in the administration of client's learning management system, the Spice Hub (powered by Docebo), as needed by:
  • Uploading and archiving files
  • Creating and updating certifications and enrollments.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university in English, Communications, Graphic Design, Human Resources, or another related field
  • Up to 2 years of experience in Training, Restaurant or Retail Operations, HR, or another related field Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable in Adobe InDesign
  • Preferred working knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Knowledgeable in Articulate Rise 360
  • Preferred working knowledge in Articulate Storyline 360
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to approach and solve problems in a logical and organized manner with moderate supervision
  • Ability to multi-task with moderate supervision
  • Be seen as a team player who can jump in where needed
