Overview:

Our client is seeking a Lead UI/UX Designer to help shape the future of their web and mobile software platforms. This role is ideal for a creative, strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for innovation. You'll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer teams to create intuitive, modern experiences that reflect a deep understanding of our users. If you have a strong portfolio, a bold design mindset, and the ability to mentor and elevate others—this is the role for you.

Job Details:

  • Lead the design and user experience across web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and stakeholders to deliver elegant and practical user experiences.
  • Own and evolve the design systems—modernizing a platform that has remained largely unchanged for 7+ years.
  • Drive end-to-end UX process including research, persona development, prototyping, usability testing, and iteration.
  • Participate in and support voice-of-customer initiatives to bring real-world feedback into the design cycle.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that clearly communicate design ideas and product vision.
  • Present work to internal teams and leadership; communicate design rationale and respond to feedback effectively.
  • Mentor and collaborate with other designers; support a culture of creativity and innovation across the team.
  • Be a hands-on contributor who balances vision with execution.

Requirements:

  • 5–7+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong, impressive portfolio that includes complex software platforms.
  • Proven ability to design for both web and mobile environments using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience leading user-centered design efforts, including persona creation, journey mapping, and usability testing.
  • Innovative thinker with exposure to modern design trends, potentially including AI or emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable taking and incorporating feedback from diverse teams (PMs, developers, stakeholders).
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and can lead with initiative, creativity, and empathy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Design, HCI, Psychology, Engineering, or similar).

Location:

Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Duluth, GA . Up to 20% travel may be required.
