Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
• Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules, such as Installation of Extrusion & Thermoforming Equipment
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Daily and weekly Preventive Maintenance (PM)
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• GMPs and SQF compliance are required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, electrical, mechanical and PLC troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read electrical schematics and print drawings
• Electrical wiring experience
• Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to detail; able to recognize, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Bilingual a plus (Spanish)

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
• Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
• Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds at a time.
