GenNext Learning Center is dedicated to providing exceptional educational support for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Our mission is to help students excel academically, build a strong foundation in core subjects, and achieve their academic and career goals through personalized instruction and test preparation.

Position Overview

We are seeking a certified and experienced Math Tutor to teach students in grades K–8. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics education and committed to student success. This role involves teaching foundational math concepts, preparing students for standardized tests (including STAAR), and supporting advanced learners in programs such as Gifted & Talented, Math Kangaroo, and Math Olympiad.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the GenNext Math curriculum with excellence and adaptability.
• Provide targeted strategies for STAAR and other standardized test preparation.
• Prepare students for advanced programs and competitions (Gifted & Talented, Math Kangaroo, Math Olympiad).
• Teach Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry to middle and high school students as needed.
• Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring personalized learning paths.
• Foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and the GenNext team regarding student progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in ISDs or tutoring centers.
• Proven experience teaching elementary and middle school students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students with creativity and patience.
• Results-oriented with a passion for education.

Job Details

• Type: Part-time
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
• Location: In-person at GenNext Learning Center
• 1400 N Coit Rd, Suite 101, McKinney, TX 75071
