Mechanical Engineer (Process Piping) / Supervisor
Location: Taylor, TX (Outside of Austin, TX)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Supervisor to lead construction activities for large-scale industrial and commercial projects. This role focuses on mechanical and process piping construction , including stainless steel, carbon steel, and plastic piping fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction management expertise, the ability to coordinate across trades, and a proven track record of success in semiconductor, industrial, chemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing projects .

What You’ll Do
- Act as a key stakeholder within the project management team, overseeing projects from inception through construction, commissioning, and close-out.
- Review specifications and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve issues and maintain owner/client requirements.
- Develop and track project scope, schedules, and forecasts to meet project goals.
- Oversee construction monitoring, progress measurement, and reporting.
- Manage progress and schedules for assigned scope, including fabrication and installation.
- Create detailed execution plans and project schedules for assigned areas.
- Communicate project status updates to management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate mechanical work with contractors and other trades to ensure alignment and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred) or equivalent work-related experience.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical and piping construction.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, ASTM).
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings .
- Experience with high purity piping (preferred).
- Strong background in progress management and reporting.
- Proficiency with BIM, MS Office, AutoCAD, and Navisworks .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple contractors and coordinate with other construction trades.
