Position Summary: The
Global Medical Information (GMI) Senior Specialist plays a key role within the Global Medical & Scientific Affairs team. This entry-level, headquarters-based position focuses on U.S. and global core functions of the GMI group. Under the guidance of senior colleagues, the Senior Specialist will contribute to the following core areas:
- Medical Information: Respond to U.S. healthcare professional (HCP) inquiries and support complex escalated global HCP requests. Contribute to insights and analytics reporting.
- Medical Review: Participate in the review of promotional and non-promotional scientific materials.
- Compendia and Pathways Submissions: Support accurate and timely submissions to ensure appropriate drug coverage and use.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MS, or equivalent) relevant to the life sciences or healthcare field.
Experience and Skills:
- Some experience in medical information and/or medical/scientific review of promotional materials within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- Solid understanding of clinical trial design, statistical principles, and the evaluation of complex scientific literature.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Effective organizational and prioritization skills.
- Basic knowledge and experience in oncology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in medical information, scientific review, or a related role in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth oncology therapeutic area expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with medical information databases and promotional review systems.
- Strong negotiation and collaboration skills for cross-functional engagement.
