Munitions Engineering Manager
Texarkana, TX (Onsite)
Direct Hire MUST HAVE MUNITIONS EXPERIENCE
Summary:
Engineering Manager is responsible for the supervision, formulation, administration and coordination of engineering projects, budgets, policies, processes, methods and procedures designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays and otherwise promote cost reductions on a company-wide basis. The Engineering Manager must be familiar with ISO/MIL-STD’s/Specifications as well as the Proposal Writing Process in the ammunition industry.
Responsibilities:
(30%) Support manufacturing processes by leading a team of engineers for multiple projects with minimal supervision. Responsible for technical content and quality of discipline engineering for assigned projects.
(20%) Project Management, Proposal Writing, Establish/Maintain Budgets, Cost Estimating, Payback, Cost Impacts, Cost Analysis, etc. Motivate staff to complete projects prior to deadline and within budget.
(30%) Manage and supervise defined personnel by establishing and reviewing work plans, staffing requirements and establishing/maintaining schedules for assigned team and projects while evaluating performance, and recommending personnel changes such as promotion, discharge, etc.
(10%) Planning, defining, organizing, monitoring, measuring and controlling past, present and future engineering activities. Must generate reporting structure for all projects, status, risks, etc.
(10%) Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Ind Tech, Ind Eng, Mech, Electric, Manufacturing, etc.) required, Masters Degree (Prod. Mgt, Business Mgt., MBA, Tech. Mgt, etc.) preferred.
10+ years in manufacturing (munitions experience a plus) – Master’s degree can be substituted for up to 4 years experience.
3+ years supervisor experience required.
Plus: DOE, Project Management, ISO, Risk Management
Estimated Min Rate : $140000.00
Estimated Max Rate : $170000.00
