Off-Road Haul Truck

Huntersville, NC

Hourly / Full-Time

About the Role:

The Off-Road Haul Truck plays a critical role in the efficient operation of material handling within our Huntersville, NC facility. This position is responsible for operating rubber tire loaders to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow in production and shipping areas. The role demands a strong focus on safety protocols and equipment maintenance to prevent accidents and downtime. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with warehouse and production teams to meet daily operational targets and maintain inventory accuracy. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the overall productivity and safety standards of the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid operator certification or license for rubber tire loaders or similar heavy equipment.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating rubber tire loaders or comparable material handling equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• Additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation or safety training.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

Responsibilities:

• Operate rubber tire loaders to transport materials between storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
• Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, and other items safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production personnel to prioritize tasks and optimize workflow.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved and equipment usage as required.

Skills:

The required skills enable the Rubber Tire Loader to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring materials are moved without damage or delay. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Preferred skills such as familiarity with inventory systems and communication abilities enhance coordination with other departments, improving overall workflow. Mechanical aptitude allows the operator to perform routine maintenance and identify potential equipment issues early. Together, these skills ensure the loader contributes to a productive, safe, and well-organized work environment.
