Position Overview:

Altheda is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our outpatient team. This role offers the opportunity to treat a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions across the lifespan. You’ll collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and support staff to deliver holistic, evidence-based care — with the flexibility to tailor your schedule around in-person or telehealth preferences.

We welcome both new graduates and experienced psychiatrists , including those seeking work-life balance without sacrificing clinical impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with patient goals and clinical best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with psychologists, therapists, and primary care providers in a team-based care model.
  • Participate in bi-monthly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case reviews.
  • Document care accurately and efficiently in our EHR system (eClinicalWorks).
  • Provide optional supervision to psychiatry residents, NP trainees, or psychology interns (if desired).
  • Maintain active licensure and CME requirements.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license (or in-progress at time of application).
  • Comfortable treating a diverse outpatient population.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
