Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Permit Coordinator to join our team at a leading consumer based company in Lantana, FL. This role is essential to ensuring timely and accurate processing of permits for alarm installations and service work across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, communicative, and capable of managing multiple deadlines while maintaining compliance with local regulations.

• Prepare and submit permit applications for residential and commercial alarm installations.
• Track permit statuses and follow up with municipalities to ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain accurate records of all permit documentation and correspondence.
• Communicate with internal departments (sales, operations, technicians) to coordinate permit-related needs.
• Research and stay up-to-date on permitting requirements for various cities and counties.
• Resolve issues related to rejected or delayed permits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist with scheduling inspections and coordinating with field staff.
• Provide administrative support related to permitting and licensing.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Prior experience in permitting, administrative coordination, or regulatory compliance (alarm industry experience is a plus).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with local government permitting portals and processes is a plus.

Permitting Coordinator Job Details

• Hours are 8am-4:30pm
• Pay is 20-22/hr.
