Preconstruction Manager – Lancaster, PA
Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We are representing a well-established and growing Commercial General Contractor in Lancaster, PA , seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead early project planning and drive successful outcomes from concept through GMP.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys strategy, estimating leadership, client interaction and guiding the full preconstruction process.
The Role
As the Preconstruction Manager, you will take ownership of all preconstruction activities, working closely with owners, design teams, estimators and project managers to develop accurate budgets, schedules and project plans.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead conceptual and detailed estimating for commercial projects
• Manage the full preconstruction process from early design through GMP
• Review drawings, specifications and subcontractor proposals
• Oversee quantity take-offs, scope reviews and cost analyses
• Develop bid strategies, packages and procurement plans
• Provide value engineering options and cost-saving strategies
• Collaborate with clients, architects and internal teams throughout design
• Prepare project schedules, logistics plans and risk assessments
• Support a smooth handoff to project management and operations
Experience Required
• 7+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction with a commercial GC
• Strong understanding of commercial construction (healthcare, education, corporate, industrial, mixed-use, etc.)
• Proficiency with preconstruction software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Sage, Procore, etc.)
• Ability to lead meetings, communicate with clients and mentor junior staff
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and cost modeling skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
