Location: Wadsworth, Ohio

Reports to: Production Manager

3rd Shift Operating Hours: Sunday- Wednesday 9pm-7am

Summary:

As our Production Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising production personnel on the night shift. This position requires strong leadership and technical knowledge. The Production Supervisor will mentor staff, contribute to continuous process improvement, and ensure that proper production and safety guidelines are being met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a catalyst for people development through mentoring, coaching and performance management.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor staff in the achievement of department operational KPIs and goals.
• Promote an open environment for safety continuous improvement while holding a level of individual accountability.
• Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured meeting prescribed standards (compliant), on time, and meeting consumer expectations through coaching of team members.
• Become an advocate for Foundation Wellness and represent the companies core values of Initiative, Customer Centric, Innovation, Teamwork, and Excellence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience with continuous improvement tools or methodologies (TPM, Lean Six Sigma, etc...)
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
• Directly coaches and develops team members. Interviewing potential team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and team member development; rewarding and providing corrective feedback/development of team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and communicate effectively across shift changes.
• Participates and is committed to the Foundation Wellness Quality Management System. Strives to continually improve the effectiveness of our processes and other quality objectives.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years experience in an manufacturing/ operations environment
• 2+ years experience managing people, preferably in a production environment
• Experience in continuous improvement methodologies.(i.e. Root Cause Failure Analysis, 5S, Kaizen Event)
