Python Developer

Hybrid: Hartford, Connecticut

Long-term W2 Contract

Brooksource is seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our client’s Data Engineering team within the Provider domain. This role is critical to building scalable data solutions that support healthcare operations and analytics. You will work on high-impact projects involving API development, big data processing, and cloud-based workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications and APIs for data engineering workflows.
• Utilize PySpark for distributed data processing and transformation.
• Work within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design and deploy cloud-native solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data pipelines and ensure data quality.
• Perform advanced data analysis to support business decisions and improve provider data accuracy.
• Optimize code and workflows for performance and scalability in a cloud environment.

Required Skills:

• 6–8 years of experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing.
• Proven experience working in a GCP environment (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage).
• Solid understanding of API development and integration.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the healthcare domain, especially provider data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
