Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic operating plans for assigned accounts and regions.
- Identify and address gaps in account planning; support team members with execution.
- Partner with the sales team to drive performance, solve account challenges, and pursue opportunities.
- Lead high-level customer meetings and negotiations as needed.
- Clearly communicate expectations around sales execution processes and behaviors, including account planning, pre- and post-call execution, insights gathering, and reporting.
- Coach and mentor sales teams to build stronger customer relationships and elevate service levels.
- Guide the team in balancing customer needs with company priorities through mutually beneficial solutions.
- Personally manage select key accounts and lead persuasive, solution-based sales presentations.
- Solicit new business opportunities and support team efforts to expand the customer base.
- Establish personal and team growth objectives and ensure alignment with broader business goals.
- Address communication and process barriers affecting sales performance.
- Provide support in developing solutions to complex challenges while holding team members accountable for resolving routine issues.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze internal and syndicated data to uncover growth opportunities.
- Review accounts receivable reports; address issues related to unusual activity or delinquency in line with credit policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, logistics, and customer service to ensure a seamless sales cycle and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Drive efforts to meet or exceed budgeted volume, margin, and financial targets.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in sales or a related area
- At least 1 year of management experience or demonstrated team/project leadership
- Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth and career advancement
- Experience in retail, dairy, consumer packaged goods, or food manufacturing preferred
- Certification or licensure may be required during employment
