Senior General Liability Litigation Claims Specialist
Property and Casualty Insurance
Responsible for customer service with insureds as well as claimants and counsel, retention of local counsel for nationwide litigation and establishing appropriate and proper reserves for each large exposure casualty/GL claim. Review polices in conjunction with lawsuits to ensure appropriate and proper coverage was provided to each claimant. Disclaim coverage for files that are not covered by the policy. Reduce costs of litigation, trial, need and use of experts and discovery costs by effectively settling claims. Reduce defense costs by tendering claims to the appropriate third-parties based upon contractual obligations.
5-10+ years of GL/complex claims litigation experience. Ideal candidate will have both primary and excess experience. This is a direct claims negotiating position - SIR’s, reservation of rights, attend mediations nationwide when necessary.
