Senior Insurance Advisor Location Hybrid work in New York, NY :
We are seeking a Senior Insurance Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will review and assess client insurance programs, evaluate risk exposures, and prepare written reports with tailored recommendations. You will work closely with Client Advisors, insurance brokers, and clients to ensure insurance programs are optimized to meet the unique needs of our high-net-worth clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather policy details, underwriting data, and relevant information from brokers, Client Advisors, and clients
- Analyze insurance policies and evaluate client risk exposures
- Prepare comprehensive insurance reviews with actionable recommendations
- Implement new and updated insurance programs by coordinating with brokers and agents
- Attend client meetings to present reviews and discuss recommendations
- Provide ongoing communication and support to clients and Client Advisors
- Maintain and manage relationships with insurance brokers and carriers
- Assist clients with evaluating and implementing loss control strategies
- Support the Director of Insurance Advisory on special projects
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience as a personal lines underwriter or brokerage client representative, ideally with insurers such as AIG, Berkley One, Chubb, Cincinnati, and PURE
- Strong technical insurance knowledge and sound business judgment
- Bachelor's degree required
- New York State broker license preferred; must be obtained within 3 months of hire if not already licensed
- CPCU or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation or coursework strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-motivated and results-driven
The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $195,000. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive based on individual and company performance.
Eligible employees may participate in a 401 (k) program with a company profit sharing contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability coverage and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
