Role: Senior Power BI Techno-functional/BI/Data analyst (Retail Domain exp)

Location : Wayne , NJ ( Need Locals F2F Interview/ Onsite)

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Techno-functional Data analyst(70% Technical and 30% functional) who can also take ownership like a Project Manager —managing requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in Power BI and reporting tools with strong functional, analytical, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as both Power BI Developer and Project Coordinator/Manager to deliver BI solutions end-to-end.
• Collaborate with business and functional users to gather, analysis, and understand reporting requirements.
• Develop, design, and implement Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models ; exposure to Tableau is an added advantage.
• Build and manage Power Apps / Power Automate flows for business process automation.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation .
• Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders, capture Minutes of Meeting (MoM) accurately, and ensure proper follow-ups.
• Work independently on back-end and functional reporting tasks , ensuring timely delivery.
• Create and maintain project documentation , including requirement specifications, design documents, and status reports.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to BI reports and dashboards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (mandatory) ; exposure to MicroStrategy preferred.
• Proficiency in building interactive dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions .
• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow and app development.
• Ability to function as a Business Analyst (BA)—eliciting requirements, interacting with functional users, and preparing documentation.
• Strong organizational skills: able to manage multiple priorities and act as a Project Manager when required.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of database concepts, SQL queries, and data transformation.
