Senior Project Manager – Retail Construction

Location:

Hybrid - Florida or Texas (2 open positions)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in retail construction to lead and oversee complex projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of retail environments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership:
  • Manage multiple retail construction projects simultaneously, including new store builds, remodels, and tenant improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Planning & Execution:
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate design, permitting, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Mentor junior project managers and support staff.
  • Risk & Quality Management:
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Track project costs and manage change orders.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication:
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure satisfaction.
  • Deliver regular status updates and presentations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 8–10 years of project management experience in retail construction.
  • Proven track record of delivering multi-site retail projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficient in Procore, MS Project, Teams.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, retail design standards, and permitting.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
