Software Engineer III

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1-day remote minimum)

Rate: ~$53-93/hr.

Contract Length: 12 Months

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a dynamic, cross-functional team focused on developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems in a regulated environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of software modules, with an emphasis on best engineering practices and established design control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain software systems in alignment with design control processes.
• Analyze software requirements for a specific component and translate them into scalable, maintainable designs.
• Design and implement solutions with moderate supervision.
• Participate in code reviews and documentation processes to ensure code quality and compliance.
• Apply multi-threaded software design principles.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality products in a regulated, process-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multi-threaded software design and development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a regulated environment and adhering to quality management systems.

• Remote Work: Limited flexibility; hybrid expected (at least 4 days onsite).
