SHC Federal is seeking a Strategic Growth Manager, Defense, to spearhead our growth efforts across the enterprise with priority on new business with the Department of Defense. The Strategic Growth Manager will be proficient in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and experience working with business development teams through the capture process.

We are positioned for exponential growth with significant past performance in the Federal technology solutions market, placing 100s of successful candidates in mission critical roles for Federal clients and contractors. This position will build on that success to create new revenue streams and business opportunities.

The position is based in our Tysons Corner, VA office, reporting to the EVP, SHC Federal.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans with a specific focus on the Department of Defense in collaboration with SHC Federal's leadership team.
  • Create, revise, implement, and execute, in coordination with sector leadership, the strategic plan, direction, and decision making to support informed decisions.
  • Develop SHC Federal’s DoD portfolio by growing existing accounts and identifying new pursuits.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and requirements that articulates the value proposition of the company’s services/solutions to meet those needs.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with top key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Understanding customer trends within the DoD community to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
  • Provide leadership and support to the business acquisition process to achieve SHC Federal's financial targets and metrics, including bookings, revenue, and profit objectives.
  • Develop win strategies and offer design solutions.
  • Identify requirements that lead to wins.
  • Develop price-to-win strategies.
  • Drive opportunities from capture decision to contract reward.
  • Grow existing business.
  • Analyze and interpret market trends, competitor analysis, and other relevant information to inform strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and open communication regarding items that impact the Strategy and Growth Department.
  • Provide data driven insights for decision making, weigh the implications of trends and recommend revision or creation of new strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices.
  • Develop talent/staffing strategy for proposals.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of strategic growth experience with proven ability to execute a capture strategy and win pursuits within the staffing industry supporting the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, or intel markets.
  • Proven history of successfully providing IT professional services in the Federal market.
  • Experience working in the IT professional services space.

  • Proven record of capture success in executing and delivering MSA/Contract/SOW work.
  • History of meeting customer needs by collaborating with project teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to execute a growth plan for federal lines of business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Preferred:

  • Firm understanding of Federal business development and capture process.
  • Experience executing teaming agreements, M&As, and Joint Ventures
  • Experience building Executive Level Relationships
