TRUSTS, ESTATES & FIDUCIARY LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Premier Long Island law firm, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., seeks a litigation associate for the firm’s nationally recognized Trusts, Estates and Fiduciary Litigation practice group. This is a unique opportunity to join a collegial group of experienced attorneys who are known for their thought leadership in this practice area and their involvement in the New York State Bar Association and Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations. The position is ideal for a motivated attorney looking to enhance their career through direct contact with high-net-worth clients and hands-on experience in all facets of litigation.
Required credentials include:
· J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
· Admission to the New York State bar.
· 3-5 years’ litigation experience including: taking and/or defending depositions; appearing in court; drafting pleadings, motions and related submissions, and discovery demands and responses; and conducting legal research.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
· Strong preference will be given to candidates with meaningful experience in Surrogate’s Court litigation and other contested proceedings concerning trusts, estates and guardianships.
· Estate planning and administration knowledge will be considered a plus.
The firm offers a competitive salary for this position which is anticipated at the time of this posting to be in the range of $140,000. to $180,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education/training, and relevant skills. Associates also participate in a performance-based bonus program and a business origination participation program.
The firm offers other benefits including generous paid time off, the ability to work remotely one day each week (subject to performance and business needs), reimbursement for bar association dues and attorney registration fees, health, dental and vision insurance, access to flexible spending accounts, and 401(k) plan with employer match.
