Entry Level:

• Interim Secret or Active Secret Clearence Required
• Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of experience or 5+years of experience with no degree
• Proven Experience with SATCOM engineering functions: transmission, waveforms, antennas, and RF systems.
• Proficiency in transmission technologies: modulation and coding, link budgets, radio frequency (RF) equipment, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation, and relevant algorithms/protocols.
• Knowledge of tactical Army and DoD Standards in the development and implementation of SATCOM equipment

Insight Global is seeking a SATCOM Engineer to provide technical support in designing and analyzing SATCOM systems. The candidate will develop system architectures, perform technical evaluations, and contribute to design reviews of satellite and terminal systems. In a collaborative lab environment, you will work on various aspects of SATCOM, including modulation and coding, link budgets, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation, and baseband networking configurations. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Army tactical network and be familiar with tactical SATCOM modems. Responsibilities include systems engineering evaluations, design reviews, and technical assessments of satellite and terminal designs, including contractor proposals. Additionally, you will collaborate with government stakeholders and vendors to enhance SATCOM capabilities for future warfighters.

Senior Level:

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in SATCOM engineering
• Interim Secret or Active Secret Clearence Required
• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in SATCOM engineering
• Extensive knowledge of SATCOM technologies: modulation, coding, RF equipment, antennas, and waveforms.
• Proven experience in systems engineering and SATCOM system design for both military and commercial systems.
• Familiarity with Military Standards (MIL-STDs) and certification processes.
• Experience with tactical SATCOM modems: Protected SATCOM Modems, iDirect, Viasat, Linkway, and Network Centric Waveform (NCW) and their functionality.
• Ability to lead integrated project teams and effectively coordinate between program offices, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. SATCOM Engineer to guide the development and integration of existing and future satellite communications (SATCOM) equipment and services across a complex DoD network architecture. In a collaborative lab environment, you will work on modulation and coding, link budgets, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation, and baseband networking configurations. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Army tactical network and tactical SATCOM modems. Responsibilities include understanding Electronic Warfare (EW) threats, Providing SATCOM system analysis and evaluations for commercial and military systems, bringing expert knowledge of systems engineering methods and processes, and prioritizing projects with system integrators. Additionally, you will provide technical assessments, support SATCOM architecture design and evaluation, conduct systems engineering evaluations, participate in proposal reviews, and act as a subject matter expert in transmission technologies.

Pay range for entry and senior range from $30-65/hr
