Pacific West Academy (PWA) is a premier vocational school specializing in Executive Protection and security training. We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable Full-Time Instructor to join our growing team and help train the next generation of protective services professionals.

Important Requirement: All applicants must live between Van Nuys, CA and Lancaster, CA to reliably commute to both training sites. Candidates outside this commuting area will not be considered.

Schedule Requirement: This is a full-time position. Instructors are expected to be available to teach and work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction in our Certified Executive Security Specialist (CESS) program.
• Provide hands-on, scenario-based training using industry-standard techniques and technology.
• Facilitate student learning with professionalism and a student-centered approach.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage training supplies, classroom needs, and student lodging logistics.
• Support a safe, respectful, and high-quality learning environment.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors to improve and expand training delivery.

Qualifications

• Active California BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Active California BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (required).
• Experience in Executive Protection, law enforcement, military, or related fields (highly valued).
• Prior teaching or instructional experience (preferred, but not required).
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and integrity.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to PWA’s proven training model.
• Specialized expertise in areas such as combatives, firearms, medical response, or related protective skills is strongly preferred.
