We are seeking a BIM Specialist II with architectural expertise to support our mission of digitizing and industrializing construction. Reporting to the Lead BIM Manager, this role requires a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual with a passion for parametric modeling, fabrication-level documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. This position plays a critical role in the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) to support FSM’s end-to-end delivery of mid- and high-rise volumetric modular buildings.
Key Responsibilities
· Create fabrication-level detail models and drawings
· Use stakeholder models to extract precise fabrication drawings aligned with FSM’s production and assembly workflows.
· Designing for Fabrication, Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)
· Collaborate with architectural, structural, MEP, and manufacturing teams to ensure models are constructible and reflect real-world installation sequences.
· Develop and maintain Revit families for repeatable modular elements, coordinating with overseas support teams as needed.
· Support digital documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with production and quality standards.
· Contribute to graphic presentations, fabrication packages, and submittals for internal and external stakeholders.
· Assist in implementing automation tools and workflows that improve efficiency between design, factory fabrication, and field assembly.
Education:
· B.Arch or equivalent accredited architectural degree preferred.
Software Proficiency (3+ years in each):
· Autodesk AEC Collection (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
· Revit Family Creation (advanced proficiency required)
· BIM 360 (Docs, Design, Glue)
· Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
· Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience integrating third-party tools with Revit (e.g., Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, Inventor) is a strong plus.
Preferred Experience & Skills
· Experience with modular or prefabricated construction, or strong interest in off-site construction methodologies.
· Demonstrated ability to produce architectural construction documents and/or shop drawings.
· Familiarity with MEPS systems and façade coordination.
· Strong visual communication and presentation design skills.
· Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to innovation.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
