Each year, more than 7,500 pedestrians are killed by drivers in the U.S.—a number that has increased by 70% over the past decade. Despite growing awareness, most cities still struggle to curb dangerous driving. “Vision Zero” efforts across the country are falling short.

Obvio AI exists to change that.

We deploy solar-powered, AI-assisted cameras to enforce traffic laws where pedestrians are most vulnerable—automating enforcement in ways that police departments or traditional systems cannot. Our approach has already led to a dramatic reduction in reckless driving and improved safety for pedestrians, drivers, and law enforcement alike.

Founded by the team behind Motive’s AI dashcam, Obvio is backed by Bain Capital Ventures and Khosla Ventures. We recently raised a $22M Series A and are working with some of the most forward-thinking cities in the country. With meaningful revenue, a massive market, and strong policy momentum, we’re building the intelligence layer for safer streets globally.

About the Role

We're seeking a Chief of Staff who will operate as the right hand to Obvio’s co-founder and President. With a bias to action, you will own projects that propel legislation needed to support Obvio’s mission. This is a unique role that sits at the intersection of company operations, government policy, and executive strategy. You will foster alignment internally while amplifying external efforts that shape the future of Obvio’s success.

What You’ll Do

• Support the executive team in defining and executing strategic priorities
• Oversee key projects that contribute to getting legislation passed
• Meet with state and city-level officials, standing in for the co-founder
• Act as a liaison between departments, fostering collaboration and information flow
• Prepare materials used in meetings with board members, customers, and local orgs/coalitions
• Lead initiatives, report on progress, and make recommendations for improvement
• Conduct research and compile data to aid in executive decision-making

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, consulting, or a company-wide high-impact role
• Proven track record of supporting senior executives, managing large projects
• Strong understanding of organizational dynamics and business operations
• Previous success navigating ambiguity in an early-stage company
• Expert written, verbal, and public communication across different audiences
• Skilled in data analysis and research to support evidence-based decision-making

Bonus Points

• An understanding of legislation or city/state-level governments
• Previously worked at a tech company impacted by public policy
