Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Assistant

Location: Huntersville, NC

Compensation: $24–$28/hour (based on experience)

Benefits: Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

About the Opportunity:

Addison Group is seeking a Clinical Assistant for a direct hire opportunity with a respected specialty practice. This role offers exposure to a variety of clinical tasks and procedures in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers during clinic and with in-office procedures (e.g., cyst/lipoma removal, abscess drainage, hemorrhoid treatment, vein procedures)
  • Prepare sterile fields and trays for procedures
  • Handle triage calls and provide post-op care instructions
  • Complete chart preparation by pulling hospital records and contacting physician offices as needed
  • Process prior authorizations through portals and phone calls
  • Order tests through hospital systems
  • Support patient care and maintain accurate documentation in NextGen and Phreesia

Qualifications:

  • Active CMA or RMA certification required
  • 1–2 years of specialty experience (including sutures and staple removal, pre-op and post-op care)
  • Familiarity with NextGen software preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Thick-skinned and adaptable personality
