Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Covering North American institutional investors with respect to fixed income securities (new issue and secondary market) issued by emerging market issuers in both public and private markets.

Major/Essential Job Duties:

• Handling customer pricing and information requests; developing and maintaining investor relationships; exploring opportunities in bespoke credit; working with the Middle Office team to resolve settlement issues; liaising with BBVA Group entities.

Level of Complexity and Risk Involved:

• Thorough knowledge of bond math required, as well as familiarity with Latin credit products both public and private.

Scope of Duties:

• Handling customer pricing and information requests; developing and maintaining investor relationships; exploring customer needs to identify private debt deals; booking trades in various settlement and risk systems; working with the Middle Office team to resolve settlement issues; liaising with BBVA Group entities.

Skills, knowledge, and abilities/Competencies:

• Knowledge of external emerging market debt primarily from Latin America, regulations, credit-related analysis and current affairs required.
• Knowledge of CDS and Repo is a plus
• Must possess Series 7 and 63 certifications.

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $200,000 to $300,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
