JSG is looking to immediately hire an Assistant Project Manager & EHS Manager on a contract-to-hire basis in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii!

Assistant Project Manager & EHS Manager

Location: Pearl Harbor, HI | On-Site | Hours: 0630–1500

Overview

This onsite role supports Project Management and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. The position performs work during standard PHNSY&IMF hours and provides direct support to the Project Manager and Government TPOC.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, budgeting, renovation, and installation activities.
• Lead project scope, budgets, timelines, and approvals.
• Support RFP development and contractor selection.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide status updates.
• Oversee project close-out, documentation, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and construction safety procedures.
• Identify and prioritize capital project needs.
• Supervise project management staff; lead hiring and performance management.
• Implement OSHA-based safety training programs.
• Manage EHS activities including remediation, abatement, and HAZWOPER work.
• Develop EHS procedures and complete required process-hazard analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 5+ years of experience, or Associate degree plus license and experience, or equivalent combination.
• Minimum 5 years of Naval Shipyard project management, including MILCON, facilities planning, installation, renovations, and shipyard systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license.

To be clear on experience needed to meet education and relevant experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s and 10 years of relevant experience.
