Job Description

Adelphoi has a full-time Facility Technician position available to complete repairs to buildings and fixtures, work as part of a team to construct small capital improvement projects, perform various preventative maintenance assignments, and building safety inspections.

Completes daily work tasks and accompanies other Facilities Technicians on job assignments as assigned by Facilities Operations Dept. 

• Independently capable of completing jobs such as wall repairs, painting, minor wiring, basic home-type plumbing, minor appliance repairs, basic framing and finish work, etc.
• Follows established policies and procedures of the Facility Operations Dept. 
• Completes safety inspections and safety repairs. 
• Data entry for inspection and safety regulation reporting. 
• Uses various pieces of construction equipment. 
• Adheres to regulations that support working in congregate care environments that support troubled youth.
• Available for emergency on-call repairs on a rotational and as-needed basis that may require evenings, weekends, holidays, or extended shifts for various facility repairs or maintenance.
• Capable of performing snow and ice removal during regular shift hours and off-hours as needed to maintain a safe pedestrian environment. 

Requirements for a Facility Technician: High School Diploma or equivalent with a preference for trade or vocational training or certificates. Driver's license required.

2 to 3 years working within a construction or maintenance role maintaining facilities, remodeling, or reconstructing physical structures. Background in safety inspections, repairs and safety data collection preferred.
