Analytical Chemist

Location: Conroe, TX

Duration: Temp to hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Specialty Focus: Advanced Gas Chromatography (GC) – Method Development & Instrumentation

A leading chemical manufacturing facility in Conroe is seeking a highly skilled GC Chemist , with potential for temp-to-hire placement . This role is ideal for a chemist with strong instrumentation knowledge , method development expertise , and advanced analytical/statistical skills .

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently develop new GC methods from scratch (no reference method available)
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate GC instrumentation
• Conduct complex sample analysis and interpret results with high accuracy
• Perform method validation , including Gage R&R studies and statistical reliability
• Apply deep knowledge of organic/inorganic chemistry to support analytical work
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety and quality standards
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary lab team

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in GC instrumentation, troubleshooting, and method development
• Strong background in analytical chemistry and statistical analysis (e.g., method validation, Gage R&R)
• Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field (Bachelor’s required; Master’s or PhD preferred)
• Proven ability to work independently and lead method development efforts
• Excellent documentation and data interpretation skills
