M&A / Corporate – Public Company Associate – New York

Experience: 3+ Years PQE | Public M&A & Cross-Border Transactions

A prestigious international law firm is seeking a mid-level Corporate Associate with experience in public M&A to join its high-performing New York office. This elite team handles complex, cross-border M&A transactions for global corporates, financial institutions, and investment funds.

This is a partnership-track opportunity offering exposure to some of the most high-profile public company transactions in the market, with hands-on client interaction and strong international collaboration.

About The Team

Join a globally integrated M&A practice known for its innovative deal execution and international footprint. Work with partners who lead landmark transactions across sectors such as tech, healthcare, energy, industrials, and financial services. Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures, and corporate governance matters
  • Draft and negotiate acquisition agreements and related transaction documents
  • Coordinate with colleagues across tax, IP, litigation, and regulatory teams globally
  • Take a lead role in due diligence, deal structuring, and transaction execution
  • Regularly interact with senior client stakeholders and opposing counsel

Who You Are

  • 3+ years’ M&A experience at a top-tier US or international firm
  • Strong foundation in public company transactions, SEC reporting, and disclosure requirements
  • Experience managing complex cross-border deals
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and project management skills
  • Admitted in New York and in good standing

Compensation

Base Salary:

$250,000 – $365,000 (DOE)

Bonuses: Performance-based bonus potential (substantial upside)
