Nurse Manager, Mother-Baby Care Unit | Women's Health Leadership

Position Overview

As the Nurse Manager for our Mother-Baby Care Unit, you'll lead a dynamic department aligned with our mission to provide outstanding patient care. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership acumen to ensure optimal outcomes for our mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all operational aspects of the Mother-Baby Care Unit, including postpartum and newborn nursery environments
• Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
• Manage departmental budget, staffing, and resources
• Drive quality improvement initiatives in women's health services
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
• Foster physician relationships and interdepartmental collaboration
• Implement evidence-based practices and clinical protocols
• Oversee patient satisfaction and experience initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact license
• BSN required, MSN preferred
• 5 years recent acute care leadership experience in Mother-Baby Care (2 years considered with supervisory experience)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• NRP certification
• Strong clinical and operational leadership capabilities
• Excellence in team management and development
