Compensation: $80,000-$120,000, Based on Experience
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, inclusive (8:00AM- 5:30PM)
Benefits: 14 days paid PTO to be taken when family traveling. 5 days paid sick leave.
Job Summary:
A warm, welcoming household is seeking a dedicated Private Chef to join our home team and support a health-conscious family that values high-quality meals, seasonal ingredients, and consistent care. Whether you're a talented up-and-coming chef or a seasoned professional, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a respectful and appreciative household in a long-term role.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a family of five, including homemade baby food, and meals for 2–3 regularly visiting staff members
- Create occasional snacks, healthy treats, and desserts as requested
- Design customized menus aligned with the family's dietary needs, preferences, and evolving goals
- Utilize fresh, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients , avoiding processed foods and excess salt, sugar, or heavy sauces
- Shop for groceries, manage ingredient sourcing , and maintain accurate pantry inventory
- Establish relationships with local farms, butchers, and specialty purveyors for top-quality ingredients (milk, eggs, fish, produce, etc.)
- Track food expenses, avoid waste, and ensure thoughtful grocery spending
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen , including waste disposal and food safety compliance
- Flexibly adjust meal timing and portions based on the family's daily schedule and guest needs
- Prepare meals for small gatherings (up to 10 people) without additional kitchen staff
- Collaborate respectfully with household staff and maintain a zero-tolerance policy for workplace misconduct
- Receive and implement feedback with calm, professionalism, and a growth mindset
Ideal Candidate - Has experience as a Private or Personal Chef , preferably in a family or in-home setting
- Demonstrates a passion for health-focused, from-scratch cooking
- Brings knowledge of various cuisines including Japanese, Italian, French, and Mediterranean
- Offers a broad repertoire of ethnic and classic dishes and a desire to learn and evolve
- Shows strong organizational and time management skills
- Maintains professionalism, discretion, and excellent communication with both adults and children
- Can adapt to schedule changes and is willing to work weekends and accommodate last-minute needs
Requirements - 21+ years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Passport or Green Card)
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle (not shared)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check and sign confidentiality agreements
- Comfortable with video surveillance on property
- Non-smoker, no recreational drug use, and no alcohol consumption on the premises
- Possesses a strong work ethic, positive attitude , and commitment to discretion and safety
