About Azra AI:

At Azra AI, we are transforming oncology care through intelligent automation and real-time insights. Our solutions streamline workflows, surface critical patient information, and empower care teams to focus on what matters most: improving outcomes for patients.

We are looking for a Product Owner – Data & Application to join our growing team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our clients’ data and application needs are met by managing requests across engineering, application development, data science, and analytics.

Position Overview

The Product Owner – Data & Application will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role will own the intake, prioritization, and refinement of all requests related to:

  • Data: predictive models, reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Application: enhancements, feature development, and engineering-driven improvements.

You will ensure technical teams have well-defined requirements and user stories, while also collaborating across Product, Application Engineering, Data, and QA teams to deliver solutions that align with business priorities and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Backlog & Request Management

  • Own and manage the intake process for both data and application requests.
  • Partner with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into technical user stories.
  • Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira, ensuring traceability between business needs and technical delivery.
  • Prioritize backlog items in alignment with business objectives and client commitments.

Collaboration & Alignment

  • Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Application Engineering teams to refine requirements and ensure feasibility.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, and Application Engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Partner with leadership to provide updates on data and application roadmaps.

Delivery & Quality

  • Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with client needs.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, ensuring stories are ready for development and testing.
  • Monitor delivery progress and remove blockers to keep work on track.

Client-Centered Outcomes

  • Validate that delivered solutions (data and application) meet business requirements and support client workflows.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to ensure solutions drive value and adoption.

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role, ideally in healthcare technology, data analytics, or SaaS.
  • Strong understanding of application development lifecycles, data pipelines, reporting/BI tools, and analytics workflows.
  • Experience working with data science models and translating complex concepts into business requirements.
  • Proficiency with Jira (or similar tools) for backlog management, sprint planning, and writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for both data and application teams.
  • Experience managing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, balancing business needs with technical feasibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare data, oncology workflows, or health system integrations.
  • Exposure to application engineering practices and agile software development methodologies.
  • Exposure to data governance, compliance, and security practices in healthcare.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or APIs.
  • Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) is a plus.

  • Patient-First Culture: Be a part of an organization impacting hundreds of thousands of cancer patient’s lives.
  • Innovative Environment: Work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
  • Impactful Work: Play a key role in transforming data into insights that directly influence strategic decisions.
