Construction On-Site – Project Manager

Overview

I’m working with a well-established commercial construction firm in the Bay Area that is seeking an experienced On-Site Project Manager to join their team. This role will oversee projects from bid to completion, managing subcontractors, ensuring contract compliance, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day project operations from bid to completion.
• Review subcontractor bids, confirm accuracy of materials, labor, and schedules.
• Qualify and negotiate with subcontractors; administer subcontracts and process change orders.
• Ensure all contract requirements, documentation, and safety protocols are met.
• Liaise with clients, owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct project meetings and support scheduling and budget management.
• Assist in preparing estimates and compiling project data.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Located in the Bay Area, CA, or willing to travel locally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retail, office, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
• Familiarity with subcontractor negotiation, change order management, and on-site safety practices.
