Sr. Python Software Engineer (AI/ML)

This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity in Alpharetta, GA.

Work a hybrid schedule: onsite 3x/week (Tues-Thurs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design & implement robust, scalable software systems that integrate AI/ML models into PROD environments
• Build & maintain end-to-end pipelines for data ingestion, model training, & deployment
• Develop solutions using modern ML & Gen AI tools across both GCP/AWS
• Collaborate with Product & Data teams to align technical efforts with business goals
• Support, debug, & optimize production systems to ensure HA & performance
• Mentor team members, fostering a culture of learning & feedback
• Translate evolving business problems into technical solutions using AI/ML & data engineering best practices
• Evaluate & integrate Gen AI tech (e.g., Gemini, GPT, Claude) to accelerate development & innovation
• Participate in Agile practices, contributing to sprint planning, retros, & standups
• Maintain technical documentation, system roadmaps, & knowledge-sharing resources

REQUIRED

• 7+ yrs. in backend software engg. using Python (Django experience preferred)
• 5+ yrs. with cloud platform (GCP a must; AWS also preferred)
• 5+ yrs. designing & developing cloud-native solutions & microservices using Python, GCP SDKs, & GKE/Kubernetes
• 1+ yrs. in end-to-end development of ML models, from ideation to deployment
• Experience working programmatically with data engineering tool APIs in cloud environments, including (GCP): Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI
• Solid understanding of MLOps principles, including automation & CI/CD for ML workflows

PREFERRED

• Proficient with front tech (TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) for integration & visualization
• GCP: Gemini, Vertex AI Platform & Notebooks, Vision AI, Document AI, BigQuery ML
• Experience with Gen AI agents, including prompt chaining, RAG, autonomous agents
• Certifications (GCP, ML, Data Engg, etc.)
• Familiarity with Gen AI models such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Llama, etc.
• RDBMS experienceP: PostgreSQL, SQL Server
• Experience with Atlassian tooling (JIRA, Confluence) & GitHub
• Source code control systems (e.g., SVN/Git, GitHub) & build tools (Maven, Gradle)

Pay Range: $70-74hour W2
