QUALITY INSPECTOR

Dynomax is growing and expanding! We are seeking a  Quality Inspector  with a keen eye for detail and hands-on manufacturing experience. This is a great opportunity to join our 1st Shift (8:00 am to 4:30 pm) Metal Finishing team.

Scope of the Quality Inspector role:

This position requires employees to inspect or test finished materials to ensure conformance to specifications following a variety of metal finishing processes. The position will require the employee to use precision measuring instruments, test equipment, and to record inspection results appropriately.

• Inspect and measure materials to verify conformance to a work instruction, customer specification, or drawing.
• Notify supervisors and personnel responsible about products or materials not meeting specifications in accordance to standard operating procedures.
• Record inspection data and mark items with details on acceptance or rejection status and follow procedures for non-conforming product.
• Notify supervisors or other personnel about production problems.
• Appropriately package and prepare parts for the next operation required at Dynomax or outside processing.
• Use XRF for plated components to determine plating thickness.

Quality Inspector Job Requirements:

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
• Plating experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Able to handle large parts upwards of 50 lbs for short periods.
• Able to work at a microscope and handle miniature sized parts using tweezers and other small hand tools.
• 1 year+ of manufacturing experience as a machine operator or inspector.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in a NADCAP environment is a plus.
