Job Title: RPLS/Head of Survey

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible)

Salary: Competitive – Based on experience (target submitted: $155K) - open to negotiate

Position Overview

The RPLS/Head of Survey will oversee the company’s surveying department, leading a team of field and office professionals while ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality survey deliverables. This leader will play a key role in modernizing workflows, mentoring staff, and supporting strategic growth initiatives across civil infrastructure, energy, and government projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor the survey department, including field crews and office staff
• Oversee planning, execution, and quality control for all survey operations: boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction staking, and UAV/drones
• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and external clients to meet project goals and schedules
• Implement and maintain best practices in safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance
• Evaluate and integrate modern technologies (e.g., drones, GPS, 3D scanning) to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Texas is Required (Oklahoma license a plus)
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering surveying standards and procedures
• Drone survey experience is a plus, including FAA Part 107 certification
• Experience managing teams and coordinating with engineering departments
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Proficient with survey technologies and software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, Leica, UAV platforms)
• Prior business ownership or experience running a team as a business unit is a plus
