Job Description

We are looking for a seasonal material handler to work in Preston, ID. The pay rate is $19.50 / hour. This position will begin August 4 – August 29, 2025. The average workday is 7 am - 7 pm. There may be days that start as early as 5:00 am.

SEASONAL MATERIAL HANDLER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include probing trucks, climbing ladders, and utilizing lanyards. Direct truck drivers, coordinate with drivers on the scale and bring grain to the lab technician. This individual will assist during harvesting season. They also need to be mindful of safety regulations and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

• This role requires physical strength and stamina, as it involves a lot of lifting, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

SEASONAL MATERIAL HANDLER QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a similar role on a farm
• Knowledge of farming best practices
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position requires physical efforts such as straining, pulling, lifting, working, and standing and walking outdoors.
• Exposure to elements such as noise, minable dust, cold and hot temperatures.
• Extreme climate or climate variation.
• Heat up to 100 degrees
• Exposure to farm equipment hazards.
• Climbing ladders.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
