Summary

Bristol Family Center is looking for an energetic, fun, flexible and hard working person to join our team as a n early childhood   substitute teacher on an as needed on call basis.
We are a 4 star Early Education program that practices a Reggio-style curriculum. We serve infant through 5 years old and their families.

The Bristol Family Center is a non-profit early care and education program established in 1991 to help meet the growing need for high quality Early Care and Education. The BFC staff is dedicated to honoring and respecting children and families by getting to know them well, and by helping children to love themselves through loving each of them unconditionally. Social and emotional development is of utmost concern at the BFC. We foster each child’s individuality and support their curiosity by allowing them to discover and pursue their own interests in a rich and stimulating environment. The staff of the BFC strives to support families through respecting each family’s wishes, beliefs and styles of guidance. We are committed to providing a family-friendly service that responds to family needs.

Duties

• Cover classrooms and breaks
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Remain in ratio
• Communicate well with colleagues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 letters of reference
• Must clear full background check, including fingerprints
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to become trained).
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others, and to foster a team environment.
• Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Completed Vermont Orientation training
• Completed Vermont Mandated Reporting Training
